Support The Poet! (03/02/2008)
Some of you may have noticed a little advert at the bottom of the menu to the left of the screen. This is an advert for badges, magnets, stickers, gift cards and other items that I design and sell via. a site called Etsy.

All the items in my store there are made by myself and sent by me so, if you order a badge, I'll have printed it, made the badge and sent it to you! The designs are mostly cartoon in style, with some other illustration types for good measure.

I've tried to make the advert as discreet as possible and hope this hasn't offended any of my visitors. You can access my store by clicking here: http://moopf.etsy.com/

And, whilst you're there, I'd encourage you to check out the many other independant artists hand-making products and selling them on Etsy!

It's Been A Long Time! (28/02/2007)
Unfortunately it's been over a year since I've been able to write some new poetry and update this site, but that's all changed today! I've published 3 new poems on the site and there's plenty more to come. Check the Latest Poems page to read the new arrivals!

Now You Can Listen To My Poetry! (14/10/2005)
A new section has been added to the site today, called Listen To Poetry where you can hear a selection of audio readings of my poetry! Not only can you listen to them online but, if you want to, you can also download them to listen to whenever you want to. There are seven readings in the new section and I'll be gradually adding more over time. If you have any feedback for me on this new addition to the site please feel free to get in touch using the Contact The Poet link on the left of the site.

"The Ghost" Appearing In Primary Times (13/10/2005)
My poem "The Ghost" is appearing in the October issue of Primary Times North London, a magazine for parents, pupils and staff of Primary Schools in the United Kingdom. To find out more about Primary Times, you can visit their web site here: http://www.primarytimes.net/

Add Comments To My Poems! (28/04/2005)
Hot on the heels of the print and email to a friend features I've also just added the ability for you to comment on individual poems! Below the text of a poem you'll see the last 5 comments made and a link to add your own comment. So now you can tell everybody what you really think of a poem!

New Features On The Site! (28/04/2005)
I've added two new features to the site today - whilst viewing a poem there are now two new links under the poem's title.

The "PRINT THIS POEM" link will open a version of the poem suitable for printing so you can quickly and easily print our your favourites! The "EMAIL TO A FRIEND" link will pop-up a window allowing you to send a link to the poem to your friends. You can also include a short message in the email to personalise it.

Watch out for more new features soon.

My "Virtual School Visit" (25/04/2005)
Around an hour or so ago I finished my virtual school visit, over the Internet, to some schools in the Katy Independant School District in Texas, all the way from my home in the United Kingdom. I had a fantastic time reading my poetry, answering questions and listening to poetry the children had written or were reading out. I'd like to thank all the children for listening with such interest and to Linda McDonald especially for giving me this opportunity by organising it!

Video Conference School Visit To Texas! (04/04/2005)
As part of National Poetry Month in the U.S.A. I have been asked to do a school "visit" live via. video conference to a number of schools at the same time in the Katy Independant School District in Texas on 25th April 2005. I'll be reading some of my poetry and discussing how I write, where I get my inspiration from and many other topics. Needless to say the chance to do a school visit of this nature, reaching several schools at once via. the Internet, has me more than a little excited!

For more information on this event please email Linda McDonald at the Katy Independant School District.
